Peoples Sustainable Development Programmes (PSDP)

Our vision is to improve the living standards of the people of Pakistan by working towards completing UN's Millennium development Goals. We as an organization and as a network are focused towards achieving high literacy rates, supplying of clean drinking water, promoting small and medium entrepreneur, better environmental conditions and lesser health problems.

Our mission is to disseminate timely and useful information, to perform charitable services, to conduct research for enhancing productivity and quality of life for the people of Pakistan, building the capacity of nonprofit organizations to achieve mission-driven results. We want to support and host emerging sustainable development projects and encourage 'social entrepreneurship' in Pakistan.

PSDP has also been participating as an independent, apolitical, nonprofit organization established to consider the long term effects and implications of diverse technological, sociological, economical and cultural issues in the South Asian region, in particular Pakistan.

PSDP was brought into existence with the intention of making a contribution to the discourse in the region; however its remit goes beyond borders.

The mission of PSDP includes: seek to encourage innovation in thinking about the development of the major issues affecting the sustainable development of the population and ways and means that promote this social development. It aims to carry out and in effect the application of new ideas in developmental and sustainable programs. To meet this challenge PSDP’s main objectives are:

Engage with other social sector institutes and communities in serious dialogue and joint effort to alleviate and address the regional problematic;

Promote innovative ideas and implement these ideas to alleviate the problems faced by the region;

Facilitate the serious efforts being conducted to capacity build for provision of economic and entrepreneurial development,

Provide an independent and neutral platform on which the development phase of socially viable and important matters can be addressed in all frameworks of the sustainable development

The mission of the PSDP is also to make a leading contribution and to encourage innovation in thinking about these issues and the application of new ideas for the region.
